About
Hi, I’m Kane. I like drums, coffee, heavy music, and long walks on the beach (seriously).
Podcasts started taking over my life in around 2012. At first I was just a listener on my daily tube commute. In 2017 I started my own podcast ‘Musician’s Map’.
The obsession snowballed and I soon transitioned into podcast production full-time. At the time of writing I’ve helped produce over 2000 episodes, and have had #1 podcasts in 18 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Chile, India, New Zealand, and South Africa.
I’ve been an audio engineer for 17 years. Having started out in live music venues & studios in New Zealand, I’ve since worked in studios around the world.
In London, I spent seven years working on audio archives for artists like The Who, The Rolling Stones, Queen, The Clash, U2, Van Morrison, and Elton John - and labels like Universal and Warner Music.
I now live in a small NZ beach town (hence the long beach walks) and I help people all over the world make awesome podcasts.
I started Precision Podcasting because I truly believe in the medium, and that great content shouldn’t be hindered by bad audio.
In 2023 Precision Podcasting is made up myself and a small team of freelancers.
